BabyLegs love:
“I just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE babylegs. My baby has 6 pairs and I've directed numerous people to your website. Everywhere we go...everyone asks about the BabyLegs! From now on they will be my staple baby shower gift. Not only are they cute, but it's so nice to support a fellow mom. I've come up w/ a novel baby product and am in the process of researching patents and manufacturing/marketing options. It's so overwhelming, but it's nice to know that others, like you, have been where I've been....and are now doing great! Thanks so much!!" R. Salanga
"WOW! THESE HAVE GOT TO BE THE BEST INVENTION YET!: "I have 2 boy's ages 4 and 6 years and am expecting my third little boy in March, if I only knew back then about these, their poor little legs would have been free of rug/floor burns. Thanks, Jenn"

Seattle, WA - Small people can inspire big ideas. For Nicole Donnelly, a stay-at-home mom in Seattle, WA, a big idea struck when she wanted to keep her 8-month old daughter’s legs warm while allowing her diaper rash some “airtime.”In April of 2005, Donnelly started making leg warmers for her daughter Sara, for Sara’s friends, and then for strangers who she met online through parenting message boards. Soon her company BabyLegs was born.Within 12 months, it became a runaway success in 20 countries thanks to a simple concept and a supportive online parent community.
“Regular moms are some of my best distributors,” explains Donnelly reflecting on the legions of customers she has tapped into online.
It all began with a diaper rash.Donnelly took a creative approach to healing Sara’s rash by creating legwarmers to protect her sweet baby’s legs while letting her enjoy some naked bum time. This innovative mother then went to the Internet to research potty training and she found herself communicating with other moms online about the challenges of diaper rash.Soon she was selling handmade BabyLegs online, as well as out of her diaper bag wherever she and Sara found themselves. With online sales climbing steadily, Donnelly knew she was onto something and realized that she needed to have BabyLegs manufactured to keep up with demand.Quickly this stay-at-home mom found herself a work-at-home mom flooded with incoming online orders and a garage serving as her busy warehouse.
How has BabyLegs managed to skip around the globe so quickly?Babies from Seattle to Montreal to Helsinki to Tokyo are all sporting BabyLegs with pride. Moms all over the world have recognized both the fashionable and functional features of protecting precious legs from the sun, cold, and harsh surfaces with BabyLegs.
Says one mom, “My daughter Taylor is 6 months old and she loves wearing her BabyLegs! She is learning to crawl so they are working out great, preventing her little knees from getting nasty rug burns. She looks so cute in them too!”
Donnelly is amazed by the success of her creation.Since the company was created in Seattle, WA in April, 2005, it has enjoyed an amazing growth spurt.Along with employing 14 workers at its new warehouse in South Seattle, BabyLegs can be found in 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.
Where is she most surprised to find her BabyLegs selling? “Israel,” says Donnelly, “Oh, and Dubai and South Africa.”Apparently it’s a universal fact that moms and babies get a kick out of BabyLegs. |
