Like any First Aid kit, it is difficult to know which baby supplies you will need, but it is much better to have the items on hand when you have a sick baby and you need them right away.

Some of the items below are important for basic grooming, such as nail clippers and a thermometer.

• Nail clippers - babies' nails grow very quickly and need to be trimmed often to keep them from scratching themselves before they gain control over their hands
• Tweezers
• Thermometer - under the arm or ear thermometer makes taking your baby's termperature much easier
• Vaporizer or Humidifier
• Nasal aspirator - infants can't blow their noses without your help
• Nose drops
• Infant Tylenol for bringing down fevers or easing the pain of teething. Please consult your physician, and never give aspirin to a baby.
• Medicine dropper for administering liquid medicines
• PediaLyte to prevent dehydration caused by diarrhea or excessive vomiting - always contact your physician if your baby has diarrhea or excessive vomiting
• Antiseptic cream
• Ointment - because babies scratch themselves, a lot!
• Band-Aids
• Medicated diaper cream - zinc is the common medication
• Barrier Diaper Cream
